2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

 

Please advice your students to read How to Apply LUT Academic Year 2011-2012 instructions booklet (pdf) which guides them through the application process. Here is direct link to the booklet:

3. APPLYING TO LAPPEENRANTA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (LUT)

 

All incoming exchange students are required to apply through online application in Mobility-Online system. Application is available on our websites www.lut.fi/exchange from March 15.

 

Application deadline for the academic year and autumn semester is May 15.

Application deadline for the spring semester is October 15.

 

Original application form and Learning Agreement (created in Mobility-Online) are required to post to International Services of LUT by May 31/October 31 at the latest. See more information enclosed on ‘Instructions for Coordinators’. Do not send any application documents by fax or e-mail.

 

Students must create the Learning Agreement in Mobility-Online, but in addition you can submit (by post) the learning agreement of your institution to be signed by LUT.

 

 

 

4. COURSES AT LUT

 

Courses for exchange students 2011-2012 are available March 15 onwards on our websites www.lut.fi/exchange à Exchange students à Courses in English

 

Some course descriptions are available in April but the preliminary course lists will be on the websites March 15 onwards:

-      Electrical engineering

-      Energy and environmental technology

-      Mechanical engineering

-      Technical physics

 

Please note that course information from previous years is not valid and students must not choose courses based on them. Language courses 2011-2012 are published in late spring/early summer so they should be excluded from the first learning agreement.

5. ACCOMMODATION

 

Students must apply for accommodation directly from Lappeenranta Student Housing Foundation (LOAS) by June 10 (if applying for the spring semester, deadline is November 10). More information and online housing application available on www.loas.fi
